TES-therapy

TES therapy is a non-invasive (without penetration into the body) method of treatment through transcranial (Latin trans - through; cranium - skull) electrical stimulation. It is a physiotherapeutic treatment method.

The principle of therapeutic effect

It has long been known and no one doubts the fact that most of the physiological processes that ensure the normal functioning of our body are controlled by the brain. This is a real command center. He is responsible for our thinking, emotions, behavior and work of all organs and systems of the body.

The transmission of commands from the brain to the organs and systems of our body occurs with the help of chemicals - neurohormones. In the brain, depending on the need for a particular result, various types of neurohormones are produced. One of the most significant of them are rightly endorphins.

It was found that with direct electrical stimulation of the hypothalamic-pituitary region of the brain, highly effective analgesia can be obtained. In the 70s of the twentieth century, when studying the mechanisms of this anesthesia, scientists discovered special substances, the mechanism of action of which is similar to the action of opiates, for example, morphine.

These substances are called endorphins or “internal morphines”. A subsequent study of the role of endorphins in the body revealed, in particular, that their analgesic effect is many times stronger than all known analgesics.

It has now been established that endorphins, in addition to analgesia, also have another positive effect on the body, including powerful stress counteraction, normalization of immunity, acceleration of healing of damaged tissues, and an improvement in the quality of life in general.

Endorphins have even been called “hormones of joy,” since they are produced in small quantities in humans when they experience positive emotions. If there are enough endorphins in the body, a person is able to endure the most severe stresses and loads, resist diseases, and recover quickly.

Unfortunately, for most of us, due to environmental damage, constant stress, extreme physical and mental stress, often transmitted infectious diseases, various toxic effects that our body is exposed to, endorphin secretion is inhibited.

As a result, there is an acute shortage of their production and the amount of endorphins in the body decreases. In this case, the normal functioning of the body as a self-regulating system is disrupted, acute and chronic diseases, various pain syndromes occur, healing of damaged tissues slows down, immunity is weakened, various psychosomatic disorders appear, accompanied by sleep disturbances, frequent mood swings, decreased performance, as well as a deterioration in the quality of life in whole.

Activation of the body's defense systems

To date, the only scientifically-based and recognized way to guarantee an increase in the level of endorphins in the body is the method of transcranial electrical stimulation (TES-therapy), which is implemented by the DOCTOR TES-03 device. By acting on the brain with special impulse currents of low power, this apparatus selectively activates the brain structures that produce endorphins.

The treatment method implemented by the TES-therapy apparatus was developed by a team of scientists of the Institute of Physiology. I.P. Pavlova Russian Academy of Sciences, St. Petersburg.
This method is based on a registered scientific discovery (priority of 1996), awarded the medal named after academician P.L. Kapitsa.

In 2004 and 2012 a group of creators of the TES-therapy method, headed by a doctor of medical sciences, professor V.P. Lebedev awarded prizes of the Government of the Russian Federation in the field of science and technology. At the Forum “Russian Industrialist-2008” the apparatus and method were awarded the Grand Prix “For the best innovative project in the field of healthcare”.
In 2009, the device received the Grand Prix of the 2nd International Congress of Inventors “For the invention that gives the greatest impetus to development” (Bangkok, Thailand).

The device is able to significantly increase the body's ability to produce endorphins. Moreover, the effect of even one half-hour procedure lasts from 12 hours to several days.

This method is absolutely safe for humans, since this is not about the introduction of any medications or stimulants, but about training and increasing the power of the body's defense system. This provides a more active production of endorphins naturally at the right time.

TES therapy is not addictive or addictive, because the produced endorphins are immediately used by the body in the necessary direction and quantity, and its unused portion or excess breaks down to amino acids in a few minutes.

"Doctor TES-03"

"Doctor TES-03" is a modern medical device for the prevention and treatment of various diseases in comfortable, including at home, conditions.

The device was developed on the basis of research by the Institute of Physiology. I.P. Pavlova RAS using the rules of evidence-based medicine. It was a continuation of the model range of professional TRANSAIR devices, successfully used for over 30 years by medical institutions in many countries and awarded many Russian and foreign awards.

Using “Doctor TES-03” is extremely simple, convenient and safe, as it is specially designed so that patients can use it on their own without visiting medical institutions and without involving specialists.

Application of the method and apparatus "DOCTOR TES-O3"

Complaints, symptoms and conditions with a lack of endorphins in the body:

• attention deficit hyperactivity disorder in children, school and school maladaptation;
• gambling, substance abuse, alcoholism and opium addiction.

Effects of TES-therapy

• elimination of stress, depression and their consequences;
• improvement of well-being and general condition, normalization of sleep, increase of working capacity;
• elimination or reduction of the intensity of pain syndromes;
• fast healing of wounds and ulcers;
• increase immunity and body resistance;
• acceleration of recovery processes after various diseases;
• normalization and stabilization of blood pressure in case of hypertension, hypotension and vegetovascular dystonia;
• reduction of pathological craving for tobacco and alcohol;
• normalization of the gastrointestinal tract;
• improving the quality of life in general.

The use of TES therapy at home

The condition of patients during and after the course of treatment Subject to these instructions, the TES procedure is well tolerated and does not cause side effects and complications.

The use of TES-therapy is not addictive or addictive. Against the background of the therapy, in most patients already after the first procedures there is an improvement in well-being, mood, normalization of sleep, reduction or complete disappearance of pain, acceleration of the healing process of damaged tissues.

In those relatively rare cases when it is not possible to achieve a good therapeutic effect from the course of procedures, TES therapy should be discontinued, consult a doctor and conduct an additional examination to clarify the diagnosis. If there is a deterioration in well-being that coincides with the procedures of TPP-therapy, you should also stop the procedure, consult a doctor, clarify the diagnosis and recommended treatment.

In some patients (5%) with arterial hypertension or vegetovascular dystonia of any type, after a session of TES therapy, a slight headache is possible, which after 10-15 minutes rest goes away on its own. Some patients may experience slight and short-term redness of the skin at the sites of application of the electrodes. In places of redness, massage the skin or lubricate with a cosmetic moisturizer.

It has been established that for various chronic diseases, the clinical effects of TES-therapy can appear some time (days to weeks) after the end of the course. It was also found that in some diseases, for example, with sensorineural hearing loss to a significant degree, the clinical effect is manifested only after a second course of TES therapy, carried out 3-4 months after the end of the first course.

Features of the use of TPP therapy in children

TES therapy is acceptable for use in children from the age of 5. This treatment can be used both for diseases characteristic of childhood (see "Indications and methods of use" in the "Operation Guide"), and for any "adult" diseases encountered in children.

When using TES-therapy for the treatment of children, the following rules and features of application should be observed. The recommended course of treatment is shorter than in adults, it should not exceed 5-7 procedures carried out daily or every other day.

With a positive trend in treatment, the course can be repeated after 2-3 months. Each procedure should last no more than 15–20 minutes (the procedure is stopped manually by decreasing the current strength to zero with the corresponding button (3, Fig. 1), see “Operation Manual”). The current should not exceed 0.75–1 mA, even in the absence of subjective sensations under the electrodes (vibration, slight tingling, etc.).

TES-therapy gives a good result in the treatment of children who are prone to frequent and prolonged colds. It is recommended to carry out TES therapy in parents at the same time.

Features of the use of TES-therapy in the elderly

The use of TES-therapy has no age restrictions. It can be used in the treatment of various pathologies in elderly people of any age (see "Indications and methods of use" in the "Operation Guide"). However, there are some features of the procedures.

The course of TES-therapy can reach 15–20 procedures. If the body is weakened, the procedure is recommended to be carried out 2-3 times a week, that is, with breaks between procedures up to 3 days. Thus, the actual duration of the course can reach 1.5-2 months.

It should be noted that due to the natural processes of aging in the elderly, the electrical conductivity of tissues decreases, and the device may not gain the full current value (1.5 mA) on the LED scale. This is not a malfunction of the machine. Procedures should be carried out, reaching the maximum possible and comfortably tolerated current values.

Combination of TES with other treatment methods

TES therapy is well combined with any traditional treatment methods: medication, physiotherapy, balneological treatment, manual therapy, etc. TES therapy also works well with almost any medication, it can significantly reduce their use, in particular, analgesics, antidepressants, immunomodulators, hormonal drugs, etc., and sometimes completely abandon them.

However, this reduction, and especially cancellation, should be carried out only on the recommendation of a doctor and under his supervision. Due to the identical mechanisms for the development of effects, the simultaneous use of TES therapy with acupuncture is inappropriate. This method can be used as an additional before or after TES therapy. TES therapy goes well with psychotherapy. These methods mutually reinforce and complement each other.

Especially for this purpose we have developed an audio session of psychotherapy with musical and speech influences (an audio CD is included in the delivery package). The attached CD contains an audio session of psychotherapy in two versions:
1st track - male voice;
2nd track - female voice.
You can use any of them of your choice. An audio session can be used simultaneously with TES therapy, as well as an independent means of psychotherapy.

Additional recommendations

Nutrition recommendations
Almost any treatment must be accompanied by proper nutrition. The procedures of TES-therapy improve the metabolism in the body, so it is very important that the body receives a sufficient amount of certain nutrients.

The most obvious signs of malnutrition are being overweight or, conversely, underweight. Excess weight is often the result of stressful experiences that some people “seize” in an attempt to get at least a little pleasure from eating, and sometimes from alcohol, against a general joyless background. Hence the increased fatigue, irritability, early wear of the body, which can eventually cause various diseases.

Often people begin to self-medicate - actively consume various dietary supplements, medicines (tablets, drops, etc.), guided only by commercials or ads. This leads to the fact that the body becomes even more difficult to deal with adverse factors and maintain their functions normally. It must be remembered that it is proper nutrition that can help the body cope with problems.

Below are brief recommendations on proper nutrition, which will not only avoid many of the consequences of being overweight, but also increase the effectiveness of TES therapy.

Products that enhance endorphin production during TPP therapy:
• cottage cheese, low-fat cheeses and other dairy products;
• foods high in vegetable (soy, rice, legumes) and animal proteins (chicken, veal, low-fat fish);
• spinach, salad, cabbage, bananas.

Products whose consumption should be reduced:
• heavy fats (fat, animal fats);
• fried foods;
• smoked, overly salty and spicy foods;
• pastries, sweets;
• potatoes, pasta;
• butter;
• mayonnaise, etc.

It is necessary to drink at least 1.5–2 liters of pure water daily, which creates comfortable conditions for the work of cells, as well as for active cleansing of the body (liver, kidneys, intestines). Coffee and strong black tea are not recommended, as they contain a lot of caffeine, and also upset the water balance in the body.

A lot of books on proper nutrition are being published now, a huge number of recommendations are contained on the Internet. However, the best option for organizing proper nutrition is an individual consultation with specialists.
