Isle of sky (Isle of Skye)

This CD is the result of the first five years (1981-1986) experimental studies Dr. Jeffrey Thompson altered state of consciousness created through a multi-layered beats in the music.

From research it is known that, depending on the condition of the person, his brain is dominated by waves of a certain type. For example:

alpha waves (7-13 Hz) are associated with States of pleasant relaxation, peace and satisfaction;

theta waves (3.5 to 7 Hz) – with intuitive insight, a creative imagination and inspiration.

Modulation of sound in the range alpha/theta waves and their harmonics causes a response at the same frequencies in the brain of the listener that was used by Jeffrey Thompson the recording of the album. It uses three types of modulation in the range from 3.5 to 13 Hz:

• direct frequency modulation of individual sounds,
• modulation arising from the interaction of different sounds between them,
• modulation arising from the interaction of sounds in different stereo channels (for this reason, the disk it is best to listen to in the headphones).
