Nova Dreamer 2
Receive the newsletter of the Institute of lucid dreams La Berge. They seem to have made a 2nd version of your device. I wonder what's new there?
Alexander, we will have a new device?
Here is an excerpt of the letter:
NovaDreamer2: The Next Generation of Lucid Dream Induction Devices
Would you like to be able to have lucid dreams any time you choose?
For example, tonight? All you have to do is remember an intention:
to notice that you are dreaming. This is simple to describe, but
perhaps not so easy to do. Remembering intentions takes effort,
--especially if you are asleep at the time.
What you need is a timely reminder, ideally delivered *while* you
are dreaming. In the course of our laboratory research at Stanford
University, we developed electronic lucid dream induction devices
(LDIDs) that provided exactly that. We found that flashing lights
often appeared in dreams ongoing and could thus be used as reminders
or lucidity cues.
The Lucidity Institute made several of these LDIDs available to the
public, the most recent being the NovaDreamer (ND): a sleep mask
equipped with infrared eye-movement sensors. When the sensors
determine you are dreaming the NovaDreamer delivers a cue lucidity
in the form of flashing lights from a pair of bright red LEDs. The
flashing light cues enter into ongoing dreams in a variety of ways.
Cues can be superimposed over the dream scene, like a light flashing
in one's face, or they can briefly interrupt the dream scene, or, most
commonly, they blend into the ongoing dream plot. If your mind is
prepared to take a hint, you immediately realize you are dreaming.
The NovaDreamer (no longer in production) is being replaced by a new,
improved version (NovaDreamer2, ND2) expected to ship later this year.
ND2 features will include interactivity (real-time response to eye
movement signals), and many improvements in comfort, reliability,
and performance--enough, we think, to make it well worth the wait.
Final revisions of the NovaDreamer2 will be tested at our upcoming
Dreaming and Awakening workshop, April 22 - May 1 (see above).
A similar prototype was rated as more comfortable than the previous
version of the NovaDreamer and all other available sleep masks by 93%
of a group of testers last year.
If you think you are interested enough that you would probably order
one today if you could, please send an email to ND2*lucidity.com.
[Substitute an "@" for the "*" in the email address.]
We will add you to a first-come first-served list of preferred
customers who will be offered the opportunity to purchase one of
the first production run of new ND2s before the general public.
We will also invite you to respond to a survey shortly.<

Will, maybe, three months later, if unforeseen circumstances will not prevent. It will just be a super fancy thing, but the NovaDreamer he has nothing.Павлум wrote:Receive a newsletter of the Institute of lucid dreams La Berge.
