Transcranial electrical stimulation (TES) — the impact on the structure of the brain stem pulse currents of small amplitude (up to 3mA) with a rectangular bipolar asymmetric pulse shape.

This impact leads to the activation of the alpha rhythms of the brain normalization other brain biorhythms, increasing the concentration of serotonin, acetylcholine, met-enkephalin and beta-endorphins. Activation of the alpha rhythms of the brain (in the range 8-12 Hz) leads to a state of relaxation, which reduces tension, stress, normal mood, perception governed by different types of pain.

Microcurrents complex sequence activate specific group of nerve cells located in the brain stem. These groups of nerve cells produce serotonin and acetylcholine, which affect chemical activity. Changing the electrical and chemical activity of certain nerve cells in the brain stem, the device "Alfaria" regulates the activity of neurochemical systems of the brain. As a result, in the brain produces electrical activity of a particular type, known as alpha state which can be measured by EEG (frequency 8-13 Hz). Alpha rhythms are accompanied by feelings of calm, relaxation and stimulate mental processes.
