I don't know who Ledmeter, but Ledbetter (associate of Blavatsky) in his classic work "Chakra" the root chakra is not even close to associated with red color.

In fact Solomina - 11 chakra's system, and different bodies (etheric, pranic, etc.) view of the chakras are different. Where is the spiral flower, where as a carrot stick. Read more in the book Lobanov Y. Y., "Radiation of attention". About 1/3 of this book can be found on the website bezmolvie.ru. I recommend not only to oznakomitsya with a description of the chakras and shakrovich bodies, as well as the types of attention and especially the connections -seems to section 3.2 or 3.3 (the latter on this site)
