Dreams influence our intelligence?
The ancient Greek philosopher Plato (428-427 BC — 348-347 BC) thought that dreams
originate in the organs located in the abdomen, for example, in the liver

"Lucid dream, in short, is a condition in which a person sleeps, dreams and realizes that he's asleep." But how this ability is related to intelligence? Popularizer of science sunely_tales based
amazing experiments with MRI, explains how you can become a little smarter.
How to become smarter? This question arises quite often. Modern research, in General, is relentless — IQ remains constant, but how can you do this?
The head of dark subject and research subject. Anyway, that was before the advent of MRI. Today we can look inside, but seen only asks more questions. Phenomenologically it remains only to divide people and try to find corresponding differences in their brains.
Let's turn to this fashionable phenomenon of lucid dreams. Lucid dream, in short, is a condition in which a person sleeps, dreams and realizes that he sleeps and dreams. For a long time this area was outside the field of science, until, finally, Stephen Laberge convincingly showed their presence and the possibility of the experiment.
Today it is believed that lucid dreams are dreams for everybody, just most of us happily forget about them. However, it is possible to practice and increase the frequency of their occurrence. Why? The reasons may be different — communication with the deceased, a new experience, training, flying, finally. However, here the list goes on and on, from lucid dreaming is a direct benefit.
People who often see lucid dreams, it is better to allow difficulties. At least in the tests. A very simple experiment: you are given three words and you need to find another word to form a new word with each of the first three (for example, ’sand’, ’mile’ and ’age’, and the word key will be ’stone’). In Russian, this task looks a bit weird, to me it is familiar, for example, sets of letters — try to find one that will create words with the following sets: the SAME LE, IU, KO.
So, if you see lucid dreams more often, that will solve 25% more of these puzzles. Does this intellectual superiority? Partly Yes. Thinking is difficult and multifaceted, and the solution of such problems requires a look at the problem from a different angle.
But why is this happening? How is self-awareness in dreams and challenges? Recent experiments with MRI shed light on this question. It turns out that there is at least one area of the brain that works from experienced dreamers better. Oddly enough, this is the area the prefrontal cortex, responsible for the reflection, and, consequently, for our development.
You can build a lot of guesswork about what is primary and what is secondary. The researchers plan to confirm their guesses by scanning the regular people who study lucid dreams. Many people believe that sleep is a waste of time, although it is not so. However, you may be interested in the opportunity to train yourself and sleep at the same time.
