Holotropic breathing - harm or benefit?

Post by А7 » Fri Mar 06, 2009 14:50

Hello!

Recently learned about holotropic breathing. In General, interested, later I decided to practice. Unfortunately or fortunately, another life or the birth I had :)but got numbness of the palms, breathe for a long time I couldn't, it went for about 20 minutes. Noticed improved mood ) Maybe it's by analogy with the oxygen masks in the plane where a person receives a large portion of the air and he comes up with euphoria? A little later, the little head began to hurt, the pain is not strong, but unpleasant.

Next, I ran the forums and Wikipedia (this is where I'd start). But then opinions diverge. They claim that XA is a great blessing that the body is filled with energy and stuff, the person experiences pleasure; and others, that deep and intense breathing leads to death of neurons in the brain and the emergence of ailments and ills.

About neurons.. there is a memory tester program (memory-related mnemonics) began to practice, imagination dropped! The images became harder to connect and the results were worse, respectively (for example, I memorized 100 digits with 8 errors, I now fail 30), could this be related to loss of neurons?) Very concerned.

If someone will be able to Express constructive opinion will be very grateful. ;)

In my opinion, the neurons can't die with this easy mode of oxygen starvation. But the changes there are enormous - going restructuring of neural connections. I guess every 3 months - this is a very useful procedure.

I was first on holotropic last weekend. On Friday evening gathered in a house of 19 people and two instructors - psychotherapist and a masseuse. Have pacifically, introduced himself. The next day was breathing vapors. I breathed in about 3.5 hours. OOOOOOOO!!! The effects are awesome. No need to be afraid when numb hands or feet, this is a normal response to hyperventilation of the lungs. It comes and goes. But emotional outbursts were very strong - tears mixed with laughter, and absolutely no reason not felt. And there was a moment at the end when I was both more and mentally to drive power from legs and arms in chakra. Oh, that started here.... Chakra (however, only in the torso, throat silent, about it is said and Sahasrara and say nothing), and so, chakra swelled up to incredible size, especially anahata felt like a great big triangular stone. Are these chakras, clung to each other, forming a kind of circuit inside the body, and so Purley out that it seemed that the body would burst.
And after this weekend I was very happy with himself, and something has noticeably changed in me.
Only it is the right advice: you need to do at least two. And much better in the group. It's not just shortness of breath, is a complex psychophysiological process, which must be properly organized.
But in any case I am convinced that nothing bad from holotropic can not happen.

You know, by and large all the same where to go if not for the first time, the main thing that there were few people and the room is large and well provetrivaema, and then actively to breathe recycled air from different holes (Yes,it happens  ) is not ice.

Held 2 sessions of holotropic breathing in September 2011. Studied the issue with experts and concluded that the connections between neurons die during oxygen starvation, which is called holotropic breathing. If anyone is interested, wrote in detail about it here.

Oh, how scary. Yes, that's the point of therapy is to destroy the old isolated communications responsible for unsuccessful behavior... Memory-that is not going away - the formation of new relationships based on the entire experience.
The only thing I would be there (on the website) agree that any game with the subconscious, ongoing for Halikov and frisky, are self-destructive feature... But if there's a real purpose and the result will be adequate.
