Glycine

As far as I know glycine is not a medicine, has no harmful side effects. And that it is recommended to healthy people for example students during the sessions. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Anyone that knows about this drug?
I wonder why they write that has a soothing, mild antidepressant effects, activates processes of protective inhibition, but it increases mental performance.
Or due to the calming effect increases the amount of alpha-waves, respectively, attentiveness/efficiency?
What will happen if the glycine to combine with sassimi relaxation?
Who else knows what other substances/drugs enhance mental performance?
Who knows what about the EDOS 306?
