Re: Music
MY LIEUTENANT.
<the words of A. Drath.
It was then, but like now.
All I see happening for the hundredth time.
And again my memory is.
The echo of the explosions rumbling somewhere in the distance.
And shouts Lieutenant on my arm
He goes, goes, goes.
This is my Lieutenant, I was with him in raids went.
This is my Lieutenant, he had me covered.
He told me more than a friend,
He is closer to me than a brother.
This is my Lieutenant!
Annealing me the look through a shroud of bandage
Spots of his blood, sterile clean
Like scarlet poppies back.
The pain still bubbling like water in a pot,
But the Lieutenant grunts in my hand
He goes, goes, goes.
But hope lives as a stray star.
To the last line, even later, when
There's nothing left.
But she is powerless as the tears on my cheek
Silent Lieutenant I have on hand
He's gone, he's not coming back.
This is my Lieutenant, I was with him in raids went.
This is my Lieutenant, he had me covered.
He told me more than a friend,
He is closer to me than a brother.
This is my Lieutenant!
This is my Lieutenant, I was with him in raids went.
This is my Lieutenant, he had me covered.
He told me more than a friend,
He is closer to me than a brother.
This is my Lieutenant!
It was then, but like now.
All I see happening for the hundredth time.
And again my memory is.
For him and myself not to live lightly
Still the Lieutenant I have on hand
Not leaving, not leaving.
This is my Lieutenant!
This is my Lieutenant!
