[newsletter]How does mind-machine.

In the last issue I promised to tell you what happens in the brain when working with a mind-machine and a synchronization of the hemispheres of the brain (there are many related issues as a result of the workshop).
I'll try to tell about this most lucidly, literally on the fingers – to make it clear to all concerned. The brain (if to simplify its structure and not go into the neurophysiology) – is a huge number of neural circuits, are constantly run the electric pulses.
Here you can draw an analogy with a radio circuit on the circuit Board – the location, complexity and configuration of electric circuits in this diagram will depend on how it will work – is it the radio or the recorder control unit a microwave or a generator of rectangular pulses of low frequency.
And in the brain that has developed under the influence of incoming information neural circuits that create our experience (the picture of the world, memory, images, matching, patterns, filters of perception...). And how they emerge will depend on how it will later be processed the incoming information – how will flow of nerve impulses.
Each electrical impulse (even despite the fact that his power tends to zero compared with the usual values) creates around the neural circuit, very weak electromagnetic field (like any other kind of electric current flowing through any other variety of the conductor). But the fact is that in the brain such circuits, a huge amount, and a considerable part of them are involved in any time – even when we sleep – works heat transfer, there are receptors that serve internal organs, especially the heart and lungs with the rib muscles, is processed received in the previous Wake information...
Billions of electrical impulses in the neurons of the brain form every second around itself, microscopic bursts of electromagnetic field. It would seem that we have before us a picture of total chaos, an illustration of Brownian motion.
But here we should recall the phenomenon of resonance in any system of opposing fields is sure there comes a time when the majority of chaotic effects is the same - the alignment gives strength to all who got in resonance, and all the others are extinguished enhanced power of the majority. The total (cumulative) in the field of chaotic almost instantly turns into a more or less orderly, it is not just noise, but pulsates on the graph its amplitude is possible to see peaks and dips.
Theoretically, the brain can operate on a single frequency, but in practice we see that different areas of the cortex of his hemispheres resonate at different frequencies – they all have different missions, serve different functions and have different load.
Now consider another physical phenomenon – electromagnetic induction (this is when the electromagnetic field is in located within the conductor of electric current). So, a separate neural circuits in the brain can be compared to the turns of the coil of the transformer – if one of them occurs a pulse of electrical current, then around it there is the impulse of the electromagnetic field, which in turn excites an electric current in a nearby conductor. Only nature in the course of evolution have tried to minimize such processes, although they are still possible, especially when the momentum is powerful or is it a few pulses, resonant with each other. As an example, chains of memories – it is necessary to touch some detail in the past, as immediately POPs up a whole bunch of related information.
The same thing happens between zones. Each area resonates at the frequency of this locally dominant frequency effect on the other zones. If the zone has the task with highest priority, or is constantly exposed to rhythmic effects in the periphery, then the frequency of resistant and less resistant zones will not be able to bend under him – rather, they adapt to it.
On this principle work the mind-machine – light excites the visual area of the cortex of the hemispheres – the right eye in the left hemisphere and the left in the right. Since vision is the primary system for receiving and processing external information (from 79 to 87 percent of all external information we receive is through it), then the visual zone the greatest chance to impose its frequency as the dominant the entire brain. This is a consequence of evolution – after all, eyes can from a distance to see approaching danger or food, and they must set the brain in action (escape, defense, or work), and as quickly as possible.
The rhythmic flash activate rods and cones on the retina, which operate on the principle of solar cells – as a result of a chemical reaction is converted to electricity and the nervous system is transmitted to the brain. That is, we get a sequence of powerful flow of impulses in the flashes and the almost complete lull in the pauses between them. In the end, is the most effective way to force the brain to work at a required frequency (provided that it will not be other high-power frequency sources, such as fear, distrust or the consequences of psychological trauma, though in this case, the only question of time to reach a positive outcome).
If we close our eyes, then the main role in the play called "external world" are automatically nominated ears when eyesight can't inform the brain about the environment, the brain then gets her from hearing. It is the hearing allows the brain to define all the active processes (comparing their sound with a base of accumulated knowledge) and their location relative to the body (how close and in what direction) when you can't do it by visual observation. For sound perception in the brain respond to the temporal region of the right and left hemispheres (associated with the left and right ear respectively). That is, in the second place by the ability to impose dominant frequency the brain is hearing. Pulsing sound or other waveform, allowing you to transfer the frequency to the brain via the ears (e.g. mono - or binaural beats) is the second most effective way to impose the brain to the desired frequency as the dominant.
The human condition depends on the dominant frequency – that is, one on which is a large part of the crust:
- If the activity falls (dominated by frequencies in the Delta range), we are fast asleep (although at this point a separate region can operate at higher frequencies, which allows us to dream itch in the dream, and to support the processes of survival and recovery in the body).
- If the activity increases (dominated by beta), we are in active wakefulness committed a bunch of mental operations (including, or rather in most, not necessary), moving, nervous... At this frequency the brain is in any case loaded with work in full - if it has no current tasks, he finds any reason in the external and internal world - just loads itself with any nonsense, not to stand idle - distracted by all sorts of nonsense and scrolls through thousands of scenarios in a minute (their emotional color depends on the current mood and environment although the priority is still the mood - positively adjusted person difficult to see around the negative, and negatively tuned even in a purely positive event will find unpleasant aspects).
- If the frequency is somewhere in the middle (alpha or theta) – we are calm and relaxed, though not necessarily while sleeping. These States are most interesting, as the brain is practically not distracted from the primary task of the continuum, as if focuses on the desired subject, filtering out the rest as excess. Car lovers, sports and computer games can remember this effect as "tunnel vision" - when you are addicted to, the rest like pales and withdraws ("smeared on the walls of the tunnel flat plain pictures")
In the next issue I'll tell you how you can still affect brain activity (we will talk about exercise, I also talk about the games of NLP new code that allow you to synchronize the hemispheres of the brain without the mind-machine, but have some disadvantages in comparison with it).<
