At least the author of this book - http://depositfiles.com/files/2zh1ofh7j claims that his biography is taken as a basis for describing one of the authors of the DEIR (i.e., one of the authors - a virtual character). And that the DEIR would be as a minimalist introduction into his system.

Interested in your opinion about the author and his method.
