More than half a century ago, the German psychiatrist Hans Berger, studying the electrical activity of the human brain, was first discovered weak vibrations with a frequency of about 10 per second and named them alpha waves. Their magnitude, or amplitude, is only about 30 millionths of a volt. Thus was opened the alpha rhythm, the most clear example of all ordered forms – patterns of electrical activity in the brain. Note that alpha waves are found only in humans.
After 25 years the study of these barely noticeable waves grew into a new branch of science called electroencephalography - EEG).

We will add that in 1968, the American scholar D. Cohen managed to fix around the human head (non-contact method – in contrast to EEG) weak oscillating magnetic fields that occur simultaneously with the oscillations of electric potentials of the brain. He called the record magnetoencephalography (MEG). Fluctuations in magnetoencephalogram frequency coincide with the dominant rhythm of the EEG – alpha rhythm .

Grey Walter in 1953, suggested that "the sensitivity of the brain to electrical influences could provide a link with some early across all around us"!. It is pertinent to note that the wavelength of electromagnetic oscillations with the frequency of the alpha rhythm is very close to the circumference of the globe and the natural resonances of the Earth-ionosphere..

Exploring the electromagnetic field in a spherical shell bounded by the Earth's surface and lower ionosphere, W. O. Schumann in 1952, first theoretically predicted and then experimentally confirmed the existence of natural resonances in the cavity Earth-ionosphere. He predicted the resonant frequencies correspond to the so-called "standing waves" in a thin spherical waveguide Earth-ionosphere, and wavelength for electromagnetic waves of the primary resonance close to the circumference of the globe – remember the rating for the alpha rhythm of the human brain. In the daytime Schumann and könig was was a single "tsugi" oscillations with amplitude up to 100 µv/m fill rate 9 Hz, lasting usually 0.3-3 seconds, rarely up to 30 sec. For the main, the most intense spectral lines of the possible variations of resonance frequency in the range of 7-11 Hz, but for the most part during the day the variation of the resonant frequencies normally lie in the range ±(0.1-0.2) Hz. Band width resonance 2.5 Hz

The highest intensity of resonance oscillations in the cavity Earth-ionosphere reach a day. At a frequency of about 8 Hz the spectral density of the fluctuations is 0.1 mV/m Hz in a magnetically quiet days and increases by 15% during magnetic storms. Night resonance properties weaker expressed as increased leakage low-frequency electromagnetic waves through the ionosphere, at this time lower electronic concentration. The ratio of afternoon maximum amplitudes to night at least 5-10 times

According to the unanimous opinion of most experts, the cause of the excitation of electromagnetic oscillations at the resonant frequencies determined by the shape and size of the Earth, are the discharges of atmospheric electricity – lightning, caused by the totality of thunderstorms on the globe (approximately 100 bits per second

Let's consider the main types of brain rhythms :

the Delta rhythm (0.5-4 cycles per second, amplitude of 50-500 µv);

theta rhythm (5 to 7 oscillations per second, amplitude of 10-30 mV);

alpha rhythm (8 to 13 cycles per second, amplitude – 100 µv);

Sigma-rhythm "spindles" (13 to 14 cycles per second);

beta rhythm (15 to 35 cycles per second, amplitude of 5-30 microvolts);

gamma rhythm (from 35 to 100 oscillations per second, amplitude – up to 15 mV);

Fluctuations of the alpha rhythm and other electromagnetic manifestations of the brain activity displays highly complex psycho-physiological processes in the living brain. Available statistical and experimental data strongly testify to the fact that the nature of the alpha rhythm is congenital and probably hereditary.

Grey Walter American psychologist Warren McCulloch expressed a very reasonable hypothesis that the alpha rhythm characterizes the process of "scanning" thought images when concentrating on some mental problem. There is, for example, a curious coincidence between the frequency of alpha waves and the period of persistence of vision (approximately 0.1 seconds).

When we close our eyes, our alpha rhythms increase and become a long series of sinusoidal oscillations. Most people alpha waves disappear when they open their eyes and before them there is one or other the real picture. This allows you to think, says grey Walter, that the alpha rhythm is a scanning process searches the pattern fading, when the pattern is found.

When we start to experience drowsiness, the EEG first of all, there is a decrease in the intensity of alpha waves, characteristic of the waking state, and their gradual replacement of the theta rhythms.

Have a quietly sleeping man dominated by slow Delta waves, although during sleep can occur several periods of the appearance of fast oscillations is spindle – shaped groups of waves of the Sigma-rhythm frequency of about 14 cycles per second – sleep dreams.

It should be noted the fact that most people's sleep time and attenuation of alpha rhythms correspond to night time. Grey Walter believes that sleep is a remnant of a time long past, when at nightfall the people have felt the need to withdraw from activity. And slow rhythms, particularly the Delta waves are like "guardians" of the brain.

The nature of the alpha rhythm is individual. Research conducted by Walter gray [10] showed that the majority of people with a distinct alpha rhythm dominates the ability to think abstractly. A small group of subjects revealed the complete absence of alpha rhythms even with closed eyes. These people are free to think in visual images, however, experience difficulties in solving problems of an abstract nature.

Another feature is that the speed limit imposed by the frequency of alpha rhythms (varying in different people from 8 to 13 cycles per second) for the speed of our sensory and mental reactions. More fast pace, according to grey Walter, ensures greater agility of decisions and actions.

Thus, the alpha rhythm is obviously linked with the forms of thinking, with the nature of the images that arise in the minded brain. The mechanism which we find in the calculation, foresight and imagination, the human brain must have been purchased in the very early stages of human history. Later came the process of abstract thinking and control – what we call the will.

The effect of these mechanisms of conscious control can be registered in the form of electric and magnetic vortices, sweeping through the human brain as fleeting patterns-patterns in the first place – as the variation of alpha rhythms. In the brain of other animals, the most sensitive instruments to detect all isolated and irregular elements of these higher functions. Thus, the mechanisms of the brain detect a profound difference between man and APE even.

The closeness between the main resonant frequency of the earth and the alpha rhythm of the human brain in the 1960s, drew the attention of Koenig and his staff. They were compared to the human reaction time to an optical signal in the periods when the increased field strength of the fundamental frequency of the resonator Earth-ionosphere (8 Hz) and during periods when there was irregular oscillations in the frequency range of 2-6 Hz. Such massive studies were carried out on a daily basis. It turned out that with increasing field strength of the fundamental frequency of the human reaction time is averaging about 250 MS, was significantly decreased by 20 MS, and in the presence of irregular fluctuations of 2-6 Hz is increased by 15 MS. Later these studies have been tested and played in the USA in 1968-71, he Obtained results with complete certainty confirm the close relationship of alpha rhythms and Schumann resonance.

At night, especially between 2 and 4 hours, from waking people have noted slowness in the action, increases the number of errors in solving arithmetic problems. But we have already noted that at night it significantly reduces the field intensity of Schumann resonance and that the processes of abstract thinking, apparently, are connected with the alpha rhythms of human brain.

God in Us or
the biological prerequisite of meditation.
"Everything happened for a reason."
Just wisdom

Physiologists really want to understand what is happening in human brain when he prays or meditates. Recently published in the new York publishing house the book "Why God will never disappear?" ("Why God Won't Go Away?") gives a very interesting answer to this question. The authors — doctors at the University of Pennsylvania: Andrew Newberg ( the radiologist and the neurobiology of the brain) and the late Eugene D Aquili (Professor of psychiatry) say that "God will never disappear from human consciousness, because the religious impulse is rooted in the biology of the brain."

Brain scans produced during meditation and prayer, shows strikingly low activity in posterior superior parietal lobe. The authors call the pack of neurons "area associated with the orientation", because the main function of these neurons is orientation of the body in physical space. People with lesions of this region struggle to find the way even in the vicinity of your own home. When this area is in a state of normal quiet activity, the person clearly feels the difference between self and all others. When she is in a passive, sleeping state — in particular, in deep meditation and prayer, this distinction is lost and, therefore, the boundaries between the individual and the world becoming a blur. Could this be happening with worshipers who feel the presence of God, or a meditator who suddenly start to feel your unity with the Universe?

For the experiments the researchers with their colleagues, engaged in Tibetan Buddhism, selected eight monks who had experience in meditation and who agreed to brain scans. The volunteers came into the lab one at a time, and techniques introduced to them in hand intravenoso up. Then subjects were asked to meditate, focusing on any single image, usually on a religious symbol. The purpose of the experiment was to record the time when the sense of self or "I" (self) begins to dissolve and he begins to feel merged with the mentally selected for meditation follows. How is Michael Baime, one of medicinova and at the same time member of the research group, such a transition is felt as a "loss of boundaries. As if the film of your life broke and you suddenly saw the beam of light that was projected this film on the screen."

When you are in a state of meditation subjects had begun to sense the emergence of a sense of its unity with the image — usually it happens about an hour after the start of the experiment, — his vein, injected radioactive substance (glucose). Within a few minutes these "tracers" has reached the brain and were distributed to different sections of it, gathering in greater numbers where the flow of blood was stronger, that is where brain activity was higher. After measuring this scanner the concentration of radioactivity in different parts of the brain, the researchers received a snapshot of brain activity during meditation. At the end of the experiment, this distribution activity was compared with the distribution at rest.

It turned out that during meditation, a very active frontal lobes responsible for abstract thinking. They always start to work harder when you focus on a specific task. But the parietal region responsible for the orientation, I still.

Scientists have suggested that the development of individual meditators have a sense of merging and unity with the external in relation to it the religious way it is, this individual gradually disengages the site of JSC from the usual signals associated with a sense of their "place - and primatologie" that help him to distinguish the image of his own body from the outside world. "People watching during meditation shows that they indeed shut off his perception of the outside world. They never bother coming from the outside images and sounds. So maybe their parietal share does not receive any input signals," says Newberg. Deprived of its normal "power", plot JSC ceases to function properly (which is manifested in the reduction of its activity), and the person feels as if the boundary between him and everyone else begins to dissolve and disappear. And as for it disappearing spatial and temporal context, it is a sense of endless space and eternity.

Newburgh have seen the complex interaction of different parts of the brain during spiritual practices, such as the Franciscan nuns during prayer. Unlike Buddhist monks, they have to contemplation were connected, so I stepped up and responsible for her part of the brain. The rest of observed similarities: a man, self-absorbed, the area of attention was excited, and the area of orientation was hampered regardless of denomination.

The sense of unity with the Universe is not the only feature of intense religious experience. This experience also carries great emotional charge, tells people a sense of awe and a deep sense of what is happening. Neuroscientists believe that the appearance of this feeling is associated with a different part of the brain distinct from the parietal lobe, namely the so-called emotional brain that lies deep within the temporal lobe lengthwise in the lateral parts of the brain, beneath his big hemispheres.

This brain area is part of the so-called limbic system, located on the inner side of the cerebral hemispheres and regulates the activity of internal organs, instinctive behavior, emotions, memory, etc. According to some specialists, this site arose at the beginning of our evolution. Now his function is to monitor our experiences and marking particularly important events and characters — for example, appearance of a loved one. With such "markings" this memory is marked like a kind of emotional label to indicate "this is important".

Scientists believe that during intense religious experiences "emotional brain" becomes unusually active, tagging everything experienced in this state as "critical". Such a hypothesis could explain why people who have experienced a religious experience, difficult to explain it to others. Here's how it says Jeffrey Saver, a neurologist at the University of California in Los Angeles: "the Content of a profound religious experience, its visual and sensual components are the same as ordinary, everyday experiences of any person. But mesocephalia system "emotional brain" marks those moments of religious experience of the individual as an extremely important condition, followed by the sensations of pleasure and harmony. When this experience is trying to describe to others, it is possible to transmit only the content and the feeling of its strangeness, but not its accompanying internal sensations".

There is a lot of evidence confirming the importance of the "emotional brain" for religious experience. The most famous testimony of people suffering from epileptic seizures and telling about some "deep insights" during these seizures. According to saver, "is reminiscent of the stories of people experiencing religious-mystical revelation, when they cover the feeling of the "I" becomes transparent through its emptiness ("the void" external reality) they see the "reality" of higher order". Not coincidentally, says the Saver, many epileptics have a propensity to mystical experiences. So, Dostoevsky wrote that during his epileptic seizures he "touched God". A list of religious mystics, who, supposedly, could be epileptics, includes the Apostle Paul, Joan of Arc.

The wealth of sensations that brings to daily life a sharp intensification of the "emotional brain", can you explain why all religions give so much importance to the ritual, claims Newberg.

Forced and stylized ceremonial actions pull people out of the routine and help the "emotional brain" to mark them as significant. The same results, by the way, can also lead religious music, causing either excitement, or quiet bliss. Of these observations were reported by Japanese researchers in 1997.

Interesting study by Swedish and Finnish neurologists at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm. They studied the effects of the introduction of the patients of painkillers (analgesics) — those that are not at the location of the pain, and in the Central nervous system, altering the processing of signals that enter the brain. This is primarily analgesics opioid group (from the Greek opion — "poppy juice") is a type of morphine, which is normally the reason for such a negative phenomenon, as addictive drug addiction. Doctors have long suspected that taking a placebo changes the state of opioid receptors, since the input of compounds that block these receptors, the placebo effect disappears, and people with a large number of such receptors placebo is stronger (probably, addicts may be more amenable to suggestion).

The researchers used positron emission tomography to monitor the processes in the brain from sensing pain patients in whom intravenous injections or an analgesic or a placebo (of course, both of them made a serious view of doctors in white coats). It turned out that in both cases, the picture changes similar. So, suggestion, auditory training can mimic the effects of opium, and Marx in his famous statement about religion was not so far from the truth. Well, in medicine, long considered an axiom that the doctor, communication with which brings the patient relief, professionally unfit.

Dr. Michael Persinger, a neurologist from the University in no notable American Sudbury, argues that "to meet God" can almost everyone — it is enough to wear a special helmet. For several years, Persinger uses a technique that he calls "transcranial magnetic stimulation", causing with it "supernatural" experiences of the most ordinary people. Acting by trial and error, he found that a weak magnetic field (of the same order that the magnetic field generated by a computer screen) complex image rotating counter-clockwise near the temporal lobe of the brain, causing four out of five people feel that a number of them in the room is a ghostly creature.

Religious people can identify the Ghost as God. "And it all happens in the laboratory. It is easy to imagine what would have happened if this happened with a man at night when he is alone, in his bed — or in the Church, where there is such a appropriate and significant context," he says. Persinger himself tried to wear your "miracle" magnetic helmet and, according to him, have felt "ghostly presence", but he had this feeling was weakened because he was too well aware of what is happening.

Not all, however, agree that personservice vision can be equated to that experienced deeply religious people. For example, the representative of the chief Rabbi of London (not the, presumably, an objective judge) claims that the experiment Persinger as far from the true religious experience, as the mood created with psychoactive drugs, far away from the natural mental state of a person.

However, no matter how to interpret the experiments of Persinger, they clearly show that mystical experiences consist of not only what we feel, but also from our interpretation of this feeling. "We customize these experiences under a certain stereotype that is placed in the compartment with a certain "label" (for example, communication with the Supreme being), and then our experience is stored in this form. Such adjustment is made unconsciously and only takes a few seconds." Here the effect and the impact that humans, as social animals, get, sharing with other religious rituals.

It follows from the foregoing curious and partly even disturbing conclusion: what is not known to us — whether natural as say the skeptics, or supernatural, whatever believers, the reason for our large and powerful brain has the capacity to experience a evolutionary a relatively new form of experiences that we call religious. As rightly says Newberg, "the problem is that all our experiences are equally generated by the brain as perceptions of reality and mystical experiences". In fact, paradoxical as it may seem, the only criterion of reality for us is how real we feel her: "You can see the dream, and this time its for real, but when you Wake up, he would immediately cease to be a reality for you. On the other hand, people prone to mystical experiences, consider them more real than ordinary reality, and retain this belief, even back in ordinary reality. From this circle is impossible to find the exit."

These careful formulations of satisfied and faithful people. In the end, because you can see in Shakespearean sonnets just graphite flakes scattered on the surface of the cellulose sheet, and being a man of a certain culture — to see them as the work of the great spirit, and it will also be true.

"I always liked to ask and learn something new. However, until admission to a high school I never got the pleasure of studying and had in it much success. There was a time when I was on the verge of academic failure, even when a satisfactory score was hard. And this despite the fact that as a child I was called a clever child, who, in theory, should be fine. The reason for my failures adults, as always, considered the lack of diligence. I, disappointing them, more despair himself.
As an adult, I continued my education in College, which also did not Shine. When I fail, I retake it for as long as did not receive my desired grades. Enrolling in high school, I realized that I need a new strategy because of the ability to endlessly retake the exams gone. I could not have to work so hard for such mediocre results, so with all the force of his despair rushed in search of this new strategy.
Fortunately, I found it - I was able to overcome his "inability" to learning through binaural beats and dimethylaminoethanol (DMAE) - component contained in seafood.
In the result, academic Sisyphean task turned into an exquisite entertainment, resulting in excellent marks and transform me as a person. I felt as if freed from life imprisonment."

This entry begins one of his articles Richard Kennerly - American scholar, who studied the effect on the mental capacity of man listening to specific combinations of sound vibrations, called binaural beats.
In the 50 years of the twentieth century came the development of a method of electroencephalography (EEG), which allows to record and study the bioelectric potentials of the brain. It was also established that the frequency of bioelectrical oscillation of the brain is able to synchronize, under certain conditions, with different rhythmic stimuli, for example, pulses in excess of a weak electric current, light flashes and audible clicks, if frequency of stimuli is within the natural frequency range of the bioelectric potentials of the brain.
It is easiest to follow the brain stimuli in the frequency range 8-25 Hz, but when training this interval can be extended to the whole range of natural frequencies of the brain.

Sounds that don't exist.

... Listen to a tape of sacred music - Tibetan monks or Gregorian chant. If you listen closely, you can hear the voices merged, forming a single pulsing tone. This is one of the most interesting effects, characteristic of some musical instruments and the chorus of people singing about in the same key - education beats. When voices or instruments converge in unison, the beating slows, and when the odds - accelerating.
Perhaps this effect would have remained in the sphere of interests of musicians, if not a researcher Robert Monroe. He realized that despite wide popularity in the scientific world to the effect of beating, no one investigated the impact on the human condition when listening through headphones. Monroe discovered that while listening to the sounds of close frequencies in different channels (left and right), one feels the so-called binaural beats, or binaural beats. For example, when one ear hears a pure tone with a frequency of 330 cycles per second and the other pure tone with a frequency of 335 vibrations per second, the human brain hemisphere start working together, and as a result he "hears" runout with frequency of 335 - 330 = 5 oscillations per second, but it is not real external sound, but "phantom". He is born in the human brain is only the combination of electromagnetic waves coming from two synchronously working hemispheres of the brain.
One of the most effective ways to organize bioelectrical oscillation of the brain (and related psycho-physiological conditions), while providing a high synchronization of both hemispheres are binaural beats.
What happens in the brain when a person "hears" the sounds?

Currently, there are four main types of electrical oscillations in the human brain, each of which corresponds to the frequency range and the state of consciousness in which it dominates.
Beta waves are the fastest. Their frequency varies, in the classic version, from 14 to 42Гц (according to some modern sources, more than 100 Hertz). In the normal waking state, when we open eyes observe the world around them, or focused on solving some current problems, these waves, predominantly in the range of 14 to 40 Hertz, dominated in our brain. Beta waves are usually associated with vigilance, wakefulness, concentration, cognition and, in case of their excess, with uneasiness, fear, and panic. The lack of beta waves is associated with depression, poor selective attention and problems with remembering information.
A number of researchers have found that some people have a very high voltage level, including high power electrical activity of the brain in the range of the fastest beta waves and very low power waves of relaxation in the alpha and theta range. People of this type often show a characteristic behaviour like Smoking, overeating, gambling, drugs or alcohol addiction. It's usually successful people, because it is much more sensitive to external stimuli and react to them much faster than others. But for them the ordinary events can seem extremely stressful, forcing us to look for ways of lowering stress and anxiety through alcohol and drugs.
Elevated stress levels is one of the varieties of violations of the balance of neuroregulators in the body. It is obvious that such people have the relevant brain stimulation can significantly reduce the level of beta activity and, consequently, to increase relaxing alpha and theta rhythms. For Example, Henry Adams, Ph.D. - founder of "National Institute of mental health" (National Institute of Mental Health), and leading specialist of the research programs on alcoholism in the hospital of St. Elizabeth (St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Washington, D.C.) found that the most "bitter" of drunkenness after only one session of alpha-theta of relaxation, followed by a short anti-alcohol suggestions within the next two weeks lowered the level of alcohol consumption by 55%. In an interview with Dr. Adams stated: "... it is a very effective technique, however simple in preparation and application, free from risk, danger and adverse health effects. It is now proven that it significantly reduces symptoms of withdrawal syndrome, provide a state of deep relaxation and thereby reduces the desire to take drugs...".
Alpha waves occur when we close our eyes and start passively to relax, not thinking about anything. Bioelectric oscillations in the brain while slowing down, and there are "bursts" of alpha waves, i.e. oscillations in the range from 8 to 13 Hertz. If we continue relaxation without focusing their thoughts, alpha waves begin to dominate in the whole brain, we will experience a state of pleasant tranquility, still called "alpha state".
Studies have shown that brain stimulation in the alpha range is ideal for the assimilation of new information, data, facts, any material that needs to be always ready in your memory.
In Eastern martial arts there is such a thing as "state of the masters". Researches using EEG showed that in this state the human brain is dominated by alpha waves. On the background of alpha activity in the brain the speed of muscle response ten times higher than in the normal state.
In the electroencephalogram (EEG) of healthy, not under the influence of an individual's stress, alpha waves are always much. The drawback may be a sign of stress, inability to relax and effective learning and evidence on violations in activity of the brain or disease. It is in the alpha state, the human brain produces more beta-endorphins and enkephalins - own "drugs" that are responsible for joy, relaxation and pain reduction. The alpha waves are a kind of bridge - provide a link with the subconscious mind. Numerous studies by the method of EEG established that survivors of childhood events are associated with severe trauma, have suppressed alpha activity of the brain. A similar pattern of electrical activity of the brain can be observed in people suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, received in the result of war or environmental disasters. As in the alpha range lies sensory-motor rhythm, it becomes understandable why people suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, complicated random access to sensually imaginative ideas (which, by the way, the whole traditional non-drug psychotherapy).
The addiction of some people to alcohol and drugs due to the fact that these people are not able to generate sufficient amount of alpha-waves in the normal state, while in a condition of narcotic or alcoholic intoxication, the power of brain electrical activity in alpha range, they have dramatically increased.
Theta waves appear when a calm, peaceful wakefulness passes into drowsiness. Fluctuations in the brain become more slow and rhythmic, in the range from 4 to 8 Hz. This condition is also called "twilight" because it is a person is between sleep and wakefulness. It is often accompanied by vision unexpected, dreamlike images accompanied by vivid memories, especially for children. Theta state provides access to the contents of the unconscious mind, free Association, sudden insight, creative ideas.
On the other hand, theta band (4-7 oscillations per second) is perfect for the uncritical adoption of external installations, as his rhythms reduce the effect of relevant protective psychological mechanisms and provide an opportunity to transform information penetrate deeply into the subconscious. That is, messages designed to change your behaviour or attitude towards others, entered the subconscious without critical evaluation, is characteristic of the waking state, it is best to put them on rhythms in the theta range.
This psycho-physiological condition (similar to the hypnotic state the distribution pattern and combination of electric potentials of the brain) in 1848 Frenchman Mauri gave the name of hypnagogic (from Greek, hipnos = sleep and agnogeus = conductor, leader). In each of the Eastern philosophical-esoteric school "hypnagogia" has been used for centuries for creativity and improvement, has been carefully designed psycho and rituals to achieve this state and there are detailed classification of psycho-physiological phenomena accompanying him.
Note that the use of hypnagogia is not limited to Eastern religions. The story is told to us, what such personalities as Aristotle, Brahms, Puccini, Wagner, Francis Goya, Nietzsche, Edgar Allan PoE, Charles Dickens, Salvador Dali, Henry Ford, Thomas Edison and albert Einstein purposely used hypnagogia for his work using a technique which was described by Aristotle.
Using a theta-stimulation of the brain in just three weeks to learn how to achieve the creative state at any time and in any place - at will.
For example, Edison worked on his inventions in a very busy schedule. When in his thoughts he came to a standstill, then sat down in his favorite chair, took a metal ball in the hand (which are freely lowered along the couch) and fell asleep. Falling asleep he involuntarily released the ball from his hands and clatters down to the floor of the bowl would Wake him up and often he'd Wake up with fresh ideas about the project, which worked.
Delta-waves beginning to dominate when we fall asleep. They still slower than theta waves, because they have frequency less than 4 cycles per second. Most of us are under the dominance of the brain Delta waves are either sleepy, or in some other unconscious. However, there is growing evidence that some people can be in Delta state, without losing awareness. Usually, this is associated with deep TRANS or "non-physical" States. It is noteworthy that in this state our brain allocates the greatest amount of HGH in the body but are most intense processes of self-repair and self-healing.
Recent studies have found that as soon as a person shows genuine interest in anything, the power of bioelectrical brain activity in the Delta range is greatly increased (along with beta-activity).
Modern methods of computer analysis of the electrical activity of the brain has allowed to establish that in the state of wakefulness in the brain are present the frequency of all ranges, and the efficiency of the brain, the greater the coherence (synchrony) of fluctuations are observed in all bands in symmetric areas of both hemispheres of the brain.
The use of binaural beats is very simple and at the same time a powerful influence on the bioelectrical activity of the brain. Was conducted a lot of researches that have proven their effectiveness for a variety of applications, particularly for accelerated learning. For example, in the above-mentioned study Richard Kennerly, it was shown that the soundtrack overlaid with binaural beats in the beta range (faster than 14 cycles per second) caused a significant improvement in memory among students.

Neuroscientists have found that applying binaural beats on top of each other in several layers, you can generate rhythmic activity of the brain in the desired direction, and thus cause the corresponding EEG pattern (i.e. the pattern of bioelectrical oscillation of the brain), and with it the state of consciousness, which is characterized by this picture.

For this method, there is no addiction (like alcohol or drugs) or effects of the pendulum (as, for example, hangovers or "breaking"). On the contrary, the more You train, the better results the longer and more stable effect, which means the less you need to do with the audio program, or mind-machine, as the brain is trained to achieve the desired state of their own.

Color impact.

The influence of color on the psyche engaged and involved many scientists. For example, one of the most reliable and common test of the human condition - the lüscher test. The subject is asked to select the most pleasing color from the color group, then the remaining is again asked to choose the most pleasant, and so on. Obschityvat accordingly results, make a conclusion about the emotional state of the person, about his physical health. The same Luscher and solved the inverse problem - by showing the individual colors of a programme to detect changes in his emotional and physiological States. Now, probably, already all know that the color red stimulates, can cause a rise in blood pressure, and the blue color is soothing (although this rather simplistic view because much depends on the source of the human condition and the direction of gaze). Thus, using only one particular color scheme, you can invoke a certain emotional state, and as a consequence - to change their psychophysiological state.
Numerous studies electroencephalography found that each type of trance (hypnosis, meditation, prayer, rhythmic movement, dreams, etc.) corresponds to a certain distribution pattern and combination of frequencies of electrical activity in the brain. Arranging on the screen in certain places with various incentives, one way or another connected with the natural rhythms of the brain, or combinations thereof (colors, flickering, light, teams, etc.), adding, simultaneously, the modulated (or in a certain way shifted by frequency or phase) stereo sound (music, teams, pink noise, etcD.), you can enable a person to experience altered States of consciousness, greatly increasing the effect. This scheme, in the complex just implemented for Mind machines.

COMPREHENDING INFINITY
Andrei Patrushev

For the first time this effect has faced researchers in the polar regions on a clear Sunny weather. Suddenly the entire field of view became gray, all the colors disappeared, and then appeared to ripple, which suddenly exploded with a bright kaleidoscope of amazing colors and images. The visual effects were accompanied by a deep sense of peace and tranquility.

Then this effect is removed in the laboratory. Because he is always reliably reproduced, in 30-e years of the last century, probably, only the laziest physiologist have not experimented with... balls ping-pong table, slice them in half, applying the eye of the Guinea pigs - I mean students-volunteers, and directing the halves of the balls with a bright light.

The effect got its name: out the ganzfeld Phenomena (total-field phenomena) - the effect of an infinite field of view and permanently settled in physiological and psychological laboratories, mostly as a means of reliable and fast achievement of deep relaxation. Its mechanism is not fully understood. There is an assumption that when the brain is faced with an infinite field of vision, devoid of any contrasting parts, the visual analyzer shuts down and the brain goes on "admiring" himself. Perhaps as a result significantly "inhibited" logical hemisphere of the brain (usually the left), which in principle is not able to interact with infinity is the prerogative of the Gestalt hemisphere (usually the right), which, respectively, is activated.

In the 80-ies of the last century out the ganzfeld effect interested in the parapsychologists. They proceeded from the assumption that the psychic signals perceived by the person, usually "clogged" touch noise. And since out the ganzfeld effect allows you to disable the visual analyzer, at the same time providing good relaxation, there is reason to assume that the effect of psychic vibes will manifest themselves much more clearly. Their assumptions were fully confirmed in pilot studies. For example, the probability to choose the right one map out of four is 25%, and in experiments with out the ganzfeld effect this probability was equal to 35%. The inexperienced reader increase in 10% may seem negligible. But from the point of view of the theory of probability is truly a giant raise. That is, the probability of a random match is equal to one per billion. Or that, perhaps, understandable to any reader - the person who is able to demonstrate this phenomenon, so to speak, on a regular basis, could easily destroy any gambling house.

The results were so significant that attracted widespread public attention and well-known scientists from different fields of science. But the methodology of the experiments was subjected to severe criticism for possible distortions and even falsifications. However, the prospects beckoned, so, considering the criticism, we developed a methodology of the experiment in compliance with all academic standards and regulations. In 1983 and 1989, Honorton (Honorton) with colleagues conducted a series of telepathic experiments developed strict rules. The experiments were controlled by a computer which randomly picked instances from 160 static (photographs, paintings, symbols) and dynamic (1 minute video clips from commercials, cartoons, TV shows, etc.) of objects that are used for telepathic transmission. The experiments were conducted under the watchful eye of several dozen parapsychologists, physiologists, physicists, psychologists, including well-known critics of psi-phenomena. In addition, as observers were two of the famous magician, specializing in their speeches on the simulation of psi-phenomena, - to exclude the possibility of a secret transmission to the recipient of information from other participants in the experiments.

In total, 354-x sessions from 11 independent experiments as recipients, was attended by 100 men and 140 women. These experiments fully confirmed the surprising data obtained at the stage of pilot study. Additionally, it was found that with extrasensory perception better things in women, adherents of different psychopractice and just creative people such as artists and actors. In addition, it was noted significantly more accurate perception of dynamic objects than static. The results of the experiment was published by Honorton in the Journal of Parapsychology (Journal of Parapsychology) in 1990. A complete overview on the research out the ganzfeld effect in parapsychology was presented Bima and Honorton in 1994 in the January issue of the Psychological Bulletin of the American Psychological Association (Bem & Honorton, 1994; Honorton et al., 1990).
The results of the experiments received wide public publicity, so entrepreneurs and inventors together took up the matter and released a few devices from the most simple and we can say primitive protective glasses with different filters (to enhance specific chakras) to more or less complex devices with a luminescent screens

However, to get a really smooth "infinite" field of view is not so easy and most of these points not provided. Naturally this affected the effect for the worse. However, it should be remembered that all the above experiments were carried out with the trivial balls ping pong ball cut in half (under the edges of the halves placed additionally wool).

Since one of the effects out the ganzfeld phenomenon is deep muscle relaxation and sense of peace, currently this procedure is used mainly for working with stress. One of the most effective tools is called "Stress Shield" (a shield from stress).
Currently, boom has passed and the market (on the Internet) there is only one device: "Morning StarLight personal/private light screen". This device combines the effect of light therapy and out the ganzfeld effect. Its action is based on the principle of electroluminescence.

Between two transparent plastic plate is placed a layer of phosphor that glows when it is applied AC voltage. The brightness is determined by the composition of the phosphor, the size and frequency of change of voltage. A transparent fluorescent screen emits a cool white light, the spectral composition of which is very close to the spectral composition of the rays of the rising sun (excluding UV). All of this is built into ordinary sunglasses (see photo above). Price of the device $80. (http://www.morningstarlight.com/).
Light therapy is used for successful treatment of various mental, emotional and physical problems and to extend human potential:
- relaxation and meditation;
- deliverance from distress;
- the treatment of seasonal affective disorders (SAD);
- normalization of diurnal rhythms when you move to another time zone;
- the treatment of insomnia;
- quick rest;
- self hypnosis for the treatment and training;
- cognitive therapy;
- reducing anxiety;
- development of creative thinking;
- getting rid of allergies.

The device helps even beginners to meditate people naturally quickly (in minutes) to reach the deep meditative States. These meditative States can serve as a good starting point for self-hypnosis and cognitive therapy.
According to experts, more than 10 million Americans suffer from seasonal affective disorder (SAD). Simply speaking, from depression associated with seasonal changes in nature. The most common winter depression. Another 35 million Americans suffer from winter depression, expressed in a milder form. Among suffering from winter depression are much more women than men. I wonder what statistics we have in Russia. Based on the symptoms of SAD, I suspect that the Russians will take this into account "objective reality".

Symptoms of SAD are well studied: increased drowsiness, addiction to starchy foods, weight gain, decreased sex drive, apathy, feeling of hopelessness, avoidance of social contacts. Moreover, the farther North a person lives, the more pronounced the symptoms.
At the end of the last century it was established that sufficiently intense white light helps to get rid of the symptoms of the winter Blues.

Device: "Morning StarLight personal/private light screen" provides illumination lyuminestsiruyushchikh screen more than 250 Luxury, generating soft (without UV light) cool white light, absolutely safe for the eyes. Source is a 9 volt battery or AC adapter. The device does not attract foreign attention, because looks like ordinary sunglasses.

The author did not want to advertise overseas the device, but as they say: "on the record itself..." Although I hope the principles outlined in the article, simple and clear, and were not translated in Russia by talented craftsmen.

For artists I have one free hint (in the hope of a free specimen). In principle, the human brain is confronted with something resembling infinity (hmm...) very quickly the activation of the right hemisphere (Gestalt hemisphere) and the person is immersed in an altered state of consciousness, as they say, with all the consequences... In this example, based ancient method of divination with two mirrors and candles. The candle is set up between the mirrors in such a way as to result in reflections in the mirror has turned an endless trail of candles. Incidentally, the flame of the candle flickers with the frequency of the alpha rhythm of the human brain (8-13Гц), which certainly contributes to immersion in a meditative state. Instead of candles you can use LEDs, or liquid crystal color panels.

In General, go ahead and obrisete! And, having found, "share with others, and that far come and eat..." (the gospel of Mitkov)

The effects are described below for Light points out the ganzfeld, according to Andrei Patrushev, more than cover a mind-machine. Especially depresnjak.

This, of course, Yes. Only in the underground with a mind-machine DISCREETLY will not relax. :roll: .

Andrei Patrushev

the Use of audio-visual stimulation (AVS).

The results of studies of the available literary sources gives us the following directions of the induced wave activity of the brain by the method of audiovisual stimulation:

brain Training:
· Simulate rich in stimuli environment
· Increase the length of dendrites
· Increase of brain mass
· Improving the blood supply to the brain
Nerve cells designed to receive a variety of sensory stimulation. This causes their growth and change at any age. The lack of sensory stimulation leads to their death.

stress Reduction and deep relaxation:
· Reduced levels of stress hormones
Lowering the level of muscle tension
· Normalization of pressure
· Normalization of heart rate

Increasing mental abilities (IQ):
· When cognitive disorders average increase in IQ by 20 points
· The syndrome of attention deficit disorder (add) and add with hyperactivity - increase by 12-20 points

Autism:
· Increase vitality, agility, speed, quickness
· Reduce the appearance of anger and aggression
· Reducing of hyperactivity
· Improve speech articulation and vocabulary enrichment
· Normalization of sleep

Accelerated learning:
· The more you learn – the faster you go the better the ability to adapt to complex and difficult material, due to the growth of a neural network more complex neural network, the easier it is to learn

Improve your memory:
· Improve all types of memory

Achieving a peak capacity:
· Generate high-performance brain States, when everything is easy, without much effort

the Decision of problems with addiction, both from a chemical and psychological factors:
· Exercise the ability to generate its own endorphins in sufficient quantity without the effect of "swing".
· Quick recovery of the ability to generate their own endorphins after the rejection of drugs, with seasonal (and other) depression, with anhedonia.

getting Rid of depression and anxiety:
· Significant reduction in the level and, in most cases, and full freedom from chronic depression and anxiety

the alleviation of suffering from pain:
· Freedom or significant reduction in the level of both chronic and temporary pain of different origin

Improving immunity:
· Increase the capacity of the immune system, its ability to fight infections and acceleration of healing from various diseases.

Improving sports achievements:
· Deep relaxation and rest after practice and during intense competition chart
· Achieve peak fitness at the right time
· The removal of unnecessary pre-launch excitement, quick entry into the working state

It turns out there are other brain waves, such as derivatives of ALPHA, etc.
I think it would be very useful to get acquainted with this..
