Art of the brain (article)

[html]
PsicoCafé attracted a huge number of pictures relating to the brain, and created from them a gallery on Flickr: <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/27109911@N ... 00/

A renowned engineer and expert in the field of digital art Jonathan McCabe (<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/33409576@N ... 721763781/"target="_blank">Jonathan McCab) investigated the possibility of using neural networks and other artificial of computer objects to create art.

This led to the creation of absolutely fantastic works.

a Neural network is a little virtual brain. Here's how it explains itself McCabe:
a Every way, in fact, is a visualization of the state of the output of a small neural network. Coordinates X and Ycorrespond to the two variables in the connections of the network; and the color pixel (the minimum element of the image) in this aspect is the representation of the behavior of the network for these options.

Thus, the image has a map, diagram of States of the system; coherent colors show areas of relative stability or gradual change; boundaries show clear transitions between different States of the output; mottled (marbled) curls reflect the complex oscillations.

Here is the result image of one of the networks, which McCabe called "a Nervous condition".

McCabe also designed for these purposes, a virtual cellular network. Note how smoothly fit the results of his work, as if it really is a picture from under the microscope.
